Many years ago, skis were long, straight planks of wood that had toe mounted bindings. With only their toes bound to the skis, telemarkers could freely move their heels up and down while bending their knees. This freedom of movement was naturally utilized as a means of steering and quickly became known as "freeheel skiing."

Whether on groomed slopes or fresh snow, telemark skiing is a charming and fascinating experience. Our telemark instructors offer lessons to complete novices and the more experienced freeheelers, enabling you to enjoy your telemark skiing experience to its fullest potential. Many downhill skiers claim that their experience with telemark skiing has not only introduced them to a new and challenging discipline, but has likewise renewed their love for downhill skiing.
